REMORA Rescue Submarine

The Australian Submarine Rescue Vehicle (ASRV) REMORA is a 16.5-ton remotely operated rescue vehicle built about a diving bell. REMORA has room for seven people; the operator/attendant and six survivors. REMORA is capable of operations in excess of 500m in a current of 3 knots and mating to a sunken submarine lying at angles of up to 60° from the vertical.
